There is something about military wedding that is really dear to my heart. I myself am a military wife, and I have to say I have so much respect for all military families, especially when their loved ones are deployed and overseas for sometimes over a year. It take a very strong relationship to get through these times and Katie and Nate are definitely one strong couple with an amazing relationship. They compliment each other so perfectly, and their family gives so much support to them and Nate’s military career. Katie did some fun things to incorporate the Marines into her ceremony including her Marine garter, a saber arch exiting the ceremony, and she even sowed Nate’s last name from one of his old uniforms into the inside of her dress. I thought that was such an amazing touch. We had a blast during their wedding day and their reception was SO fun. One thing I will never forget is when a military song came on and Katie’s brother and Katie embraced with tears just because of how proud he was of Nate for serving our country and how proud he was of his baby sister for being such a strong women who will stand by her husband through his service. Being able to relate personally, I couldn’t help but shed a tear as well. Our military and their families so often get taken for granted, and I want to thank Nate for serving our country the way he does, and Katie for being so supportive to her new husband as well as his career. I want to wish these two all the happiness and joy in the world. Congrats you two!
