When I met with Kara and John in Council Bluffs for their engagement session, it was raining…and I was just hoping that if we drove over into central Omaha that we could get some clear sky to do their pictures.  Thankfully that’s exactly what we ended up doing!  We headed over to elmwood park and were able to catch the weather at the perfect time to get some great shots!  I loved shooting these pictures because Kara had actually brought her own books that meant something to her and her fiance and also she brought a dress that her mother wore to her own rehearsal dinner…. So romantic!   There were a couple times when we had to run to the car because of rain, but we got through it just fine.  I’m very excited to be photographing their wedding next year in May.  Congratulations you two!

My first meeting with Claire was at a cute little coffee shop.  We instantly clicked and I was so excited to hear all about her busy life, her fiance, how he proposed and much more.   When I got the call from her, asking me to be her photographer for her big day, I was very excited!  Claire and Ryan’s engagement session was very cute and extremely fun.  The weather was a perfect overcast Omaha Fall day, and the colors were simply breathtaking.  Claire had some fun ideas which expressed who they are as a couple and I love it when couples want to incorporate a little bit of their personality  to the shoot.   A few from this session were some books ( They like to read together ), a polkadot umbrella ( well, this was just fun ), and sweatshirts from their schools…which also happen to be pretty big rivals.   All in all, a perfect shoot, and again, I love so many of the pictures!  Congratulations you two!  I cant wait to photograph your January wedding in 2013!
